  4. Shooting Techniques – Overhand, sidearm, underhand, and behind-the-back shots.

  5. Ground Ball Control – Scooping and securing loose balls under pressure.

  6. Vision and Field Awareness – Reading defensive setups and anticipating plays.

  7. Footwork and Agility – Quick, controlled movements for dodging and changing direction.

  8. Off-Ball Movement – Cutting, curling, and setting picks to create scoring opportunities.

  9. Decision-Making – Knowing when to pass, shoot, or hold the ball.

  10. Game IQ – Understanding offensive and defensive schemes, recognizing mismatches, and adjusting to different styles of play.


Attack-Specific Skills

  1. Finishing Inside – Catching and shooting quickly in tight spaces.

  2. Time and Room Shooting – Setting up for powerful outside shots.

  3. Feeding the Crease – Accurate passes to teammates near the goal.

  4. Angle Awareness – Taking advantage of shooting angles against the goalie.

  5. Goalie Deception – Faking high, shooting low, or vice versa.

  6. Rebound Control – Quick reactions to capitalize on loose balls near the crease.


Midfield-Specific Skills

  1. Transition Play – Moving the ball quickly from defense to offense.

  2. Defensive Footwork – Staying in front of the opponent while pressuring the ball as a midfielder.

  3. Two-Way Play – Balancing offensive and defensive responsibilities.

  4. Shooting on the Run – Maintaining accuracy while moving at speed.

  5. Riding and Clearing – Applying pressure to force turnovers and effectively moving the ball upfield.


Physical and Mental Skills

  1. Strength and Conditioning – Building endurance, speed, and power.

  2. Mental Toughness – Staying composed under pressure.
